Raised in Tokyo and trained at GAFA in Vienna, Dominique’s 20-year career has seen him excel in some of the most prestigious kitchens in the UK, including The Ivy, The Ebury, and The Bull in Highgate. With over 20 years of experience, Dom has held prominent positions such as Head Chef at Bruno Loubet’s renowned Bistro Bruno Loubet at the Zetter Hotel and Maremma restaurant in Brixton. His expertise extends beyond the kitchen; he has successfully consulted on the openings of notable establishments like The Grain Store and The Cheese Bar.
As a private chef, Dom has catered to high-profile clients, including photographer Rankin, who he worked for for four years. Since relocating to the West Country in 2020, he has continued to make his mark, initially as Head Chef at Eight Stony Street in Frome and subsequently at At The Chapel in Bruton and Little Walcot in Frome. Dom now works as a private chef, restaurant consultant and event caterer and hosts supper clubs in and around Frome.
Dom can cook all range of food but excels in modern European, often with a fusion of Asian ingredients or style of plating. He is a passionate believer in working with local suppliers and matching sustainable, ethical and seasonal food and wines to create the perfect balance between taste and terroir.
